Q – Why did you join CASA/What do you expect to offer in your position?
A – I joined CASA to make a difference in the fine arts community and to be in an environment where I have a voice. I also wanted to be more versatile and be around peers from other fine arts departments and interact in a professional manner.

As the President of CASA, I hope to coordinate activities that favour the fine arts students of York University. Also I hope to bring initiatives, ideas and a voice to the students and in turn delivering an exceptional and creative year.

Q – You’re given 1 million dollars, what do you spend it on?
A – Pay off my tuition and stocks/investments. Why have 1 million dollars when you can have more 2 million or more?

Q – If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
A – The power of infinite knowledge because at the end of  the day, knowledge is power.

Q – Who or what inspires you and why?
A – Peter Jackson inspires me because he managed to create a beautiful film adaptation of the Lord of the Rings series while proving that a billion dollar franchise can still win multiple Oscars.

Q – How would you define the word “Creativity”?
A – Creativity is the passion that you have for something manifested into a physical reality.

Jill Eisener, Council Administrator/Speaker

Q – Why did you join CASA/What do you expect to offer in your position?

A –First I joined the Dance Student Association to get more involved within the Dance Department, and through that I found CASA.  I loved how they valued the students, and provided such great resources for us. I knew that I wanted to be around people who loved York and Fine Arts just as much as I did.  As Council Administrator/Speaker, I get the chance to be all secretarial and organized… sending out minutes, emails, and running the meetings.  However, as a CASA member I am always encouraging students to get involved, collaborate with one another, and dream big!

Q – What would be your dream job?
A –Dancing… all day long

Q – Desert Island. One book. One movie. One guilty pleasure item. What are they?
A –I would have to bring Harry Potter, the Lion King, and my iPhone. Ohhhh wait… iPhones are so great that I would only need that and I could read and watch anything I wanted.

Q – Who or what inspires you and why?

A – I’m so inspired by people who dream big and follow their passions. If I had to choose one person who inspired me the most it would be my dance teacher. Not to be cliché, but dance is my life, and I would be a completely different person if I hadn’t been introduced to it.  Therefore, she inspired me to pass on the thread of inspiration and inspire others to do whatever it is they love!  If I have a life filled with doing what I love, and surrounded by those who mean the most to me, I will have lived an exceptionally fulfilled life.

Q – How would you define the word “Creativity”?

A – In my mind, creativity is the ability to set aside notions of right or wrong, and simply put out exactly what you want to.  It’s trusting your instincts, and taking the risk to step outside the box.
